How do I know if there are Sex Offenders living in West Seneca?
The Town of West Seneca, in cooperation with the West Seneca Police Department have compiled a list of Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders who currently reside in West Seneca. This registry is made available to all residents so we can keep our children safe.

Where can I obtain a dog license?
Dog Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk's Office. First time licenses must provide a current Rabies certificate and a neutering certificate if the dog has been neutered. Your dog must also have a current rabies vaccination in order to renew the license. Bring along the current rabies shot record when renewing.

Where do I go for the STAR program?
The Town Assessor's Office (Room 211) administers the School Tax Relief (STAR) program, as well as the Veteran's Real Property Tax Exemption program.

What do I need to get a Marriage License?
You must present a valid Driver's License (or Passport) and your Birth Certificate to apply for a Marriage License. If you or your partner have been previously married, you must also bring the degree of divorce or a certificate of dissolution of marriage.

Are there Winter Parking Restrictions in West Seneca?
The Town of West Seneca has a winter parking ban that is effective from November 15th thru March 15th, inclusive.
Residents are reminded that the parking of vehicles is prohibited on all Town highways and County roads within the Town of West Seneca between the hours of 1:00 AM and 7:00 AM during the period of the parking ban.
Where can I get Working Papers for my child?
The Town does not issue Working Papers for minors under 16 years of age. To obtain working papers you must first get information and an application form from your child's school office.
Complete the application form which requires: the signature of the parent or guardian, the child's birth or baptismal record for proof of age, and a doctor's certificate showing that the minor is physically fit to work
(this certificate is not required for newspaper carrier permits if the applicant is qualified to participate in the school's physical
education program). The completed application should be taken to the West Seneca Central School District Administrative Office located at 1397 Orchard Park Road. For more information call (716) 677-3100.
How do I get a Handicapped Parking Permit?
Handicapped Parking Permits are issued through the Town Clerk's Office for residents of West Seneca only. Residents with a disability who require special parking considerations must obtain the Application for License Plates or Parking Permits for People with Severe Disabilities (Form MV-664). These applications may be obtained from the Town Clerk's Office, your doctor's office, any Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) office, or on-line.
The resident must complete and sign Part 1 and a licensed Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) must complete and sign Part 2. The doctor will determine if you are eligible for a Temporary or Permanent Permit. When the form has been completed, bring the form along with your Driver's (or non-driver's) License to the Town Clerk's Office.
A Temporary Permit (Red Tag) is good up to six (6) months, while a Permanent Permit (Blue Tag) is issued in five (5) year increments and must be renewed by bringing the expired permit back to the Town Clerk's Office.

Where can I obtain a Town Identification (ID) Card?
Photo Identification Cards (ID) for Town of West Seneca residents are available at the Kiwanis Youth Center located at 50 Legion Parkway (across from the West Seneca Library). The cost for an ID card is as follows:
Town Residents $ 4.00
School District Residents $ 5.50
(Attends West Seneca School, but lives outside West Seneca)
Senior Citizens (60 yrs and over) FREE
If you are under the age of 18, you must provide proof of age. Valid proof would be a birth certificate, West Seneca School ID card, or a driver's license.
To establish residency, you must provide one of the following documents: Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Tax Bill, Voter Registration, etc ... Please note that a driver's license cannot be used to establish residency.
For the purchase of ID cards, the Kiwanis Center is open Monday thru Friday, from 1:00PM to 4:30PM; Monday Evening from 6:00PM to 9:00PM; and Saturday afternoon from 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Where do I pay my Traffic Fine?
All vehicle and traffic violations are paid through the West Seneca Court Clerk's office located in Room 206 of Town Hall. The telephone number for the Court Clerk is (716) 558-3248.
Court appearances for vehicle and traffic violations are normally held on Friday afternoon starting at 4:00PM, unless noted otherwise. Any traffic fine must be paid by money order or the exact cash amount. The Court does not accept personal checks or make change.

Where can I obtain a Recycle Bin?
Recycling bins for new West Seneca residents or those residents seeking a replacement are available for pickup through the Highway & Sanitation Department located at 39 South Avenue. Recycling bins may be picked up between the hours of 7:00PM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday. If you need more information, call 674-4850.

Pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, nemacides, rodenticides & fungicides) are designed to kill or repel a variety of plants, insects, and rodents.
The use of pesticides is a health threat to every individual, but poses the greatest dangers to children and animals. Pesticides also pollute the ground and threaten our drinking water supply.

What do I need to know about voting?
To qualify to vote, you must: be a U.S. citizen; be 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which you file the Voter Registration Form; live at your present address at least 30 days before an election;
not be in jail or on parole for a felony conviction; and not claim the right to vote elsewhere.

What can I do to help stop the spread of West Nile Virus?
The West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne virus that can cause inflammation of the brain (encephalitis). Most people who get infected experience mild illness with fever, headache and body aches before fully recovering.
In a small number of individuals, the West Nile virus can cause more serious disease. Seniors or very young children are at increased risk of developing more severe symptoms including headache, confusion, weakness, paralysis, and seizures. At its most serious, the infection can result in coma and death.

You can help eliminate the West Nile Virus. Mosquitoes need stagnant or standing water to lay their eggs. To reduce the mosquito population around your home, we are asking our residents for their help to reduce or eliminate all stagnant water.
The Town of West Seneca is taking standing water complaints for tracking purposes in order for the Department of Health to identify potential problem areas. The Town depends on our residents and business owners to eliminate standing water on their property.
