NEWSPAPER
  • Magazines
  • Junk Mail
  • Catalogs
  • Writing Paper
  • Phonebooks
  • Bound Books
  • Brown Paper Bags
  • Place in recycling box or in paper bag, loose
  • Junk mail and writing paper, place in paper bag
  • Do not use string or plastic bags

NO:

  • Napkins
  • Tissue Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Wax Paper
  • Any Food soiled paper

CARDBOARD
(brown, corrugated)
  • Boxboard
  • Gift Boxes
  • Shoe Boxes
  • Cereal Boxes
  • Any type of clean boxboard,dry food boxes, etc.

  • Cut all cardboard boxes up - no larger that 3ft by 3ft
  • Place in recycling box or next to recycling box
  • Remove wax paper from cereal boxes and tissue from shoe and gift boxes

NO:

  • Pizza Boxes
  • Waxed Corrugated Cardboard, stained with oil, lined with foam
  • cardboard containers from 12 or 24 pack pop or beer
GLASS
  • Bottles, clear, green & brown
  • Food & Beverage Containers
  • Wash containers
  • Remove lids and caps
  • Labels do not have to be removed
  • Put containers in recycling box
  • No plastic caps or lids

NO:

  • Ceramic Items or Bottles
  • Flower Pots
  • Crystal
  • Lightbulbs
  • Mirror & Window Glass
  • Hypodermic Syringes
  • Eyeglass
  • Drinking Glasses
  • Heat Resistant Ovenware

METAL CANS
  • All Metal Food and Beverage Containers (cans)

ALUMINUM CONTAINERS
  • That hold Food or Beverage products (such as pie tins & soda cans)
  • Wash containers
  • Labels do not have to be removed
  • No metal lids
  • Put in recycling box

NO:

  • Propane Cylinders
  • Silverware
  • Metal/Cardboard containers (frozen juice, motor oil, small appliances, metal cookware or hypodermic needles)
  • No not include any type of battery or toxic, hazardous containers
PLASTIC

  • Furniture
  • Plates
  • Plastic Bags
  • Tableware
  • Plexiglass
  • Fast Food Containers
  • Tupperware or any other container without a code different from codes specified
  • NO Caps
  • NO Egg Cartons
  • NO Wide Mouth Plastics
  • NO Clorox Containers
  • NO Bleach containers

CARTONS
  • Milk
  • Juice
  • Drink Boxes
  • Gable top beverage containers including those with plastic spouts, remove caps
  • Rinse and Empty
  • Put containers with your other containers in recycling box
  • DO NOT MIX cartons with newspapers or corrugated cardboard

NO:

  • Straws from drink boxes
  • Frozen food containers
  • Waxed paper or drink pouches
  • Egg cartons


Place your recyclables out weekly on the same day as your garbage collection. Place all materials in YELLOW BOX and neatly stack your corrugated cardboard and newspaper. All recyclables and garbage must be out by 7:00 AM when collection begins

All recyclable material is picked up curbside every week
