Youth Engaged in Service (Y.E.S.)

The YES program is a volunteer program for young people between the ages of 12-18. YES provides teens the opportunity to become contributing members of the community. YES volunteers provide community service to the people of West Seneca through direct interaction with children, senior citizens, and the emotionally and physically challenged. YES serves as a support group to many agencies and organizations. YES offers an abundance of helpful and worthwhile activities that benefit many individuals in the community.

Activities take place after school, in the early evening, or on the weekend. During the summer, activities can take place at Various times of the day. Each month, and activity calendar, sign-up sheet, and newsletter are mailed to eachmember, informing them about scheduled activities. Volunteers choose activities that interest them and fir into their schedules. Members send back their sign-up sheet marked with all the activities they are interested in. The description sheet will tell you where to go and a bit about each activity.

Advisory Board

There is a seven member advisory board of YES members that meets once a month to discuss activities and any issues related to Yes. They are your representatives. They are nominated in June and elected in July by the general YES membership.
