Marble-type Seperator   Department Responsibilities

Marble-type Seperator   Requirements for Building Permit Applications

  1. Copy of Survey:  For property where work is to take place.

  2. Plans:  Two (2) copies of the plans are required. The Building Inspector may require plans to be stamped by a licensed professional architect or engineer and to include a N.Y.S. Energy work-up sheet.

  3. Drainage Plan:  Three (3) copies of complete set of workable site plan drawings required for all new construction, and may be required elsewhere at the discretion of the Building Inspector


  4. Contractors Insurance Certificate:  Must be on file with our office

  5. Estimate of construction cost:  Estimated cost of construction for statistics

  6. Town of West Seneca licensed plumbers to conduct Plumbing:  If applicable

  7. Review process:  Plans shall be left for review for a minimum of 14 days

An Application will not be accepted without all of the above



Marble-type Seperator   Fee Schedule for Building and Zoning Compliance Permits

Extract from Executive Law, Article 18, Section 383:

"......each municipality....is expressly authorized and empowered to make, amend and repeal rules for the administration and enforcement and for the collection of reasonable fees in connection therewith...."


FEE SCHEDULE

  • For a One Family or Two Family House:  $ .15 per square foot
  • Note: Floor area shall not include cellar, nonhabitable basement, non habitable attic, or carport, but shall include an accessory garage. Floor area shall be based upon outside dimensions of the building.

  • For a Multiple Dwelling:  $ .15 per square foot

  • For a Building of Nonresidential Occupancy:  $ .20 per square foot
  • Minimum:  $ 250.00
  • Note: The permit fee for a building occupied in part for residential use shall be the sum of the two occupancy fees calculated separately; Volume shall include basement, cellar, and subcellar but shall not include a crawl space, or an attic space no part of which exceeds 5 feet in height; Volume shall be based upon outside dimensions of the building.

  • For Repairs, Alterations on Residential:
  • REPAIR / ALTERATION   PERMIT FEE
    Up to $ 500   $ 10.00
    Over $ 500 up to $ 1,000   $ 25.00
    For each $ 1,000 over $ 1,000   $ 3.00

  • Commercial Fee
  • REPAIR / ALTERATION   PERMIT FEE
    Up to $ 1,000   $ 15.00
    For each $ 1,000 over $ 1,000   $ 5.00
    Minimum   $ 250.00

  • For Demolition Work:
  • DEMOLITION COST   PERMIT FEE
    Up to $ 1,000   $ 40.00
    Over $ 1,000 up to $ 5,000   $ 60.00
    For each $ 1,000 over $ 5,000   $   5.00


    Marble-type Seperator   Miscellaneous Building Permits

  • For Miscellaneous Construction:
      Minimum fee of $ 10.00

  • For Private Garages:
      Unattached - $ .05 per square foot
      Attached    - $ .10 per square foot

  • Accessory Structures:
      Storage, fences, pools, etc.
        For first $ 1,000 estimated cost - $ 10.00
        For each additional $ 1,000 - $ 5.00

  • Liquid Containers
      Permit Fees:
      Tank capacity of 550 gallons up to 3,000 gallons - $ 100.00
      The sum of $ 10.00 for each gallon or fraction thereof
      in excess of 3,000 gallons.

  • Tank Removal
      $ 100.00 each Tank

  • Moving Building
      From one lot to another the sum of $ 100.00
      plus $ 2.00 per $ 1,000. of new construction cost.
      No Permit or Delay in Obtaining Building Permit:
        In the event that work requiring a building permit was commenced without first having applied for, and secured or obtained said permit, the normal fee shall be doubled.

  • Parking Areas
      For One or Two Family Homes $ 50.00
      For Commercial or Multiple Dwellings:
        First 1,000 square feet - $ 50.00
        1,000 to 10,000 square feet - $ 80.00
        Per each 1,000 square feet or portion thereof - $ 2.00

    • Recreation Fee
        Single Family Dwelling or Building Lot - $ 200.00
        Two Family Dwelling - $ 300.00
        Multiple Family Development - $ 350.00  (per acre or portion thereof)
