Supervisor Sheila M. Meegan called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. with 30 seconds of silent prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Councilman Rusinski.

Absent - None
Supervisor Meegan read the Fire Prevention Code instructing the public where to exit in case of a fire or an emergency.
BENEFIT BASIS BUDGET
Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Rusinski, to remove the 2014 Benefit Basis Budget from the table.
Ayes: All Noes: None Motion Carried
Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Rusinski, to open the public hearing.
Ayes: All Noes: None Motion Carried
Supervisor Meegan stated the Benefit Basis Budget includes various special districts along with electric lighting districts.
No comments were received from the public.
Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Rusinski, to close the public hearing.
Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Rusinski, that the West Seneca Town Board does hereby adopt the Town of West Seneca 2014 Benefit Basis Budgets (which includes various special district funds) as previously filed by the Town Supervisor and known as the “Preliminary” 2014 Benefit Basis Budget.

Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Hart, that the West Seneca Town Board does hereby adopt the Town of West Seneca 2014 Ad Valorem Budget (includes General & Highway Funds) as previously filed by the Town Supervisor and known as the “Preliminary” 2014 Ad Valorem Budget with minor revenue modifications representing a revenue increase of $122,552, decreasing the total levy by that amount.
On the question, Supervisor Meegan stated the preliminary 2014 Ad Valorem tax rate, which includes the General and Highway Funds, is now approximately seven tenths (7/10) of a penny increase per thousand dollars of assessed value over the 2013 tax rate. The amount is about a ten cent ($0.10) decrease from the tax rate presented at the October 24th public hearing which had proposed an increase of about eleven cents ($0.11) per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation.
