Supervisor Meegan called the work session to order at 3:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Susan Kims.

Supervisor Meegan read the Fire Prevention Code instructing the public where to exit in case of a fire or an emergency.
 
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER JOHN GULLO
Ø Kiwanis shelter proposal for Veterans Memorial Park; Councilman Hart stated the Lion’s Club has requested that restrooms be added to the project; this will be another stage to the project as it involves sewer lines and additional costs
Ø Will be setting up a Housing Court every other Friday; Judge Filbert will preside
Ø Lexington Green issue – defendant and his attorney agreed to cleanup schedule for property
 
TOWN ENGINEER STEVEN TANNER
Ø Hire of summer intern to help with GPS and basement inspections
Ø Set a public hearing to review and provide comment on MS4 report
Ø Contractor money available from Burchfield project to finish south side of building; town employees can do the work with funds deducted from what is owed the contractor
Ø Boncroft Drive waterline installed; restoration work remains
Ø East & West Road/Angle Road – traffic issues should be resolved; testing done and should be submitted to ECWA
Ø Library/community center project – bonding approved; ready to proceed after 30 day period
 
SENIOR RECREATION THERAPIST OF SENIOR SERVICES MARY JOSEFIAK
Ø Upcoming events - Father’s Day celebration & Flag Day ceremony
Ø Hire of one additional van driver
 
YOUTH SERVICE COORDINATOR LAUREN MASSET
Ø Part-time bus drivers needed - no apparent interest because of low salary; four drivers needed for six weeks, 14 – 21 hours per week
Ø Summer camp counselors needed

TOWN ATTORNEY JOHN FENZ
Ø Out of district sewer agreement for Orchard Park development – affects East & West Road/Angle Road district (800’ of 8-inch sewer main connecting to existing manhole), new lines, paying mitigation fee
Ø Agreement with the Research Foundation at SUNY Buffalo to provide facilities for the Community Inquiry and Mobile Learning Pilot Program
Ø License agreement for National Softball Association for the Girls Softball World Series; overtime costs for town employees will be paid by the event holders
 
COUNCILMAN HART
Ø Sex offenders gone from Leydecker Road group homes
Ø Design Standards Committee and Industrial & Commercial Incentive Board held their first meeting with Steinmetz Planning Group to determine their roles; the committees will schedule public meetings; goal is to be ready to grant tax incentives by the fall of 2016 for improvements to begin in 2017 (property tax will remain the same; the improvement value will receive the tax break)
 
SUPERVISOR MEEGAN
Ø Harlem Road reconstruction approved for four lanes with bike paths
 
EXECUTIVE SESSION
 
Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Hart, to recess to executive session at 3:45 P.M. to discuss four personnel issues with Chief Denz and three legal issues with Town Attorney John Fenz.
 
Ayes: All                               Noes: None                                 Motion Carried
 
The board members returned from executive session at 5:05 P.M.
 
The work session concluded at 5:05 P.M.
