Supervisor Meegan called the work session to order at 3:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Town Engineer Steven Tanner.

Supervisor Meegan read the Fire Prevention Code instructing the public where to exit in case of a fire or an emergency.
SENIOR RECREATION THERAPIST OF SENIOR SERVICES MARY JOSEFIAK
· New program beginning with Elderwood for a birthday of the month with sheet cake and lunch for seniors
· Received new computers; awaiting funds from Erie County
· Received calls requesting use of space while Burchfield Center is closed
· Auxiliary Police will be using senior center one more time to finish up business
YOUTH SERVICE COORDINATOR LAUREN MASSET
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day Skate to be held Monday, January 16th from 12:00 P.M. - 1:50 PM; regular admission fees apply
- Superhero Skate was held Sunday, January 8th
- Now hiring a part-time clerk typist and looking for volunteers for the West Seneca Youth Board. Please visit www.westseneca.net for more information.
- Summer Day Camp update - schedule and registration should appear for approval on the next Town Board agenda
- Will be requesting Kiwanis craft show to relocate to their new pavilion
- Will be going to middle schools to promote YES program
CHIEF DENZ
- Answered 21,907 calls in 2016
- Part-time employees salary increase
- Purchase of unmanned aviation unit; Senator Gallivan’s office provided $10,000 grant to cover the cost; West Seneca is the first municipality to have this equipment; will be available to fire departments also; specialty unit will be assigned to operate the unit

TOWN ATTORNEY JOHN FENZ
- Endorsement resolution for Buffalo Airfield
- Final version of Design Standards Guidelines to be submitted; will schedule a public hearing for February 6th meeting
- Items for executive session – two legal matters & two contract matters
COUNCILMAN HART
- Will be meeting with West Seneca West Key Club for responses to the Coalition Youth Survey
COUNCILMAN HANLEY
- One legal item for executive session
TOWN CLERK JACQUELINE FELSER
- 2017 town/county tax bills should be mailed by Wednesday
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER JOHN GULLO
- Plumber’s license exam to be held in February
- Formulating a letter to send to the residents in Camelot III subdivision that have the tree conservation area in their rear yard to inform them of the regulations
- Encouraged residents to clear sidewalks of snow and also clear storm sewers
- Emergency Operations Center was open last Thursday for the storm until 12:30 A.M.
- Monitoring the ice situation in the creeks
- Harlem Road Bridge is being repaired by NYSDOT
TOWN ENGINEER STEVE TANNER
- Commented on construction issues that forced the closing of Burchfield Nature & Art Center; town offices have been relocated; forensic architect will be hired to provide a third party independent analysis of the construction details and offer technical guidance on possible fixes
- Executive session to discuss hire of Clerk of the Works and special inspector for community center/library project
- Deduct change order for Hilltop Court project
- Sewer main repair for collapsed sewer on Chippewa Court (Sewer District 14); need to televise sewers and make recommendations for repair; work is outside of consent order for Sewer Districts 5, 13 & 20 so will have to borrow additional money
SUPERVISOR MEEGAN
- Executive session with Finance Department to discuss contract for payroll

EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion by Supervisor Meegan, seconded by Councilman Hanley, to recess to executive session at 3:55 P.M. to discuss three legal matters and four contractual issues.
Ayes: All Noes: None Motion Carried
The board members returned from executive session at 5:50 P.M. and the work session concluded.
