SERVICES

The Receiver of Taxes handles all tax receipts for the Town of West Seneca including county tax, town tax and school tax.

TAXES AND ASSESSMENT

• Mail out Tax Bills to all non-escrow Homeowners

• Mail out Tax Bills to all escrowed Homeowner's banks
  
  January 15th - June 30th

• Collection of Town/County/Property Taxes

• Collection of School Taxes for:
  
  West Seneca Central School District #1,
  Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District #9,
  Orchard Park Central School District #1,
  September 15th - November 30th

• Pick up tax payments from Senior Citizens/shut-ins

• Mail out Paid Tax Receipts to all Homeowners

• Disburse payments to the Town of West Seneca and Erie County

• Disburse payments to the above mentioned schools

• Mail out late reminders to property owners

• Update records on new Homeowners

• Provide exemption forms for Senior, VA and STAR applicants

• Research past years for paid/unpaid Taxes

• Mail duplicate receipts to attorneys for closings on request

• Check on "back taxes" for Homeowners

• Open the tax roll to the public upon request

• Run a courteous, cost efficient office
