The Electrical Division Office Hours are Monday - Friday between 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Inspections must be scheduled in advance by calling 716-558-3221.
The primary purpose of the Electrical Division of the Code Enforcement Office is to:
- Inspect electrical systems for code compliance
- Coordinate electrical power between utility companies and property owners
- Review electrical plans during the permit process and provide advice to designers on code compliance
- Assist property owners with New York state and National Electrical Code requirements
- Inspect the installation and locations of carbon monoxide alarms and smoke alarms
- Investigate complaints regarding electrical maintenance, lighting and code compliance
