Freedom of Information Requests
The Town Clerk also acts as the Records Access Officer for the Town of West Seneca. All requests for access to or copies of Town records or information shall be directed to this office using the below application. The Town Clerk will respond to all requests pursuant to the Freedom of Information Law.
An initial response to the request shall be provided with five (5) business days of receipt. Such acknowledgement may be that additional time is required in order to determine if such records exist and, if so, to review any responisve documents. In the event of a denial of the request for documents, an appeal, in writing must be submitted within thirty (30) calendar days of such denial.
To appeal denial of a FOIL request, please submit a written appeal via mail to Town Attorney Chris G. Trapp at 1250 Union Road, West Seneca, NY 14224.
